Responsibilities
- Identify and analyse investment opportunities in equity and options markets, with a focus on macro and event-driven catalysts.
- Provide real-time opinions on breaking news and assess potential market impacts across asset classes.
- Analyse upcoming catalyst events (e.g., central bank decisions, geopolitical developments, economic data releases) and formulate trade recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with derivative traders to develop and refine investment ideas.
- Communicate effectively with traders and fellow analysts, relaying key information and actionable insights in your areas of coverage.
- Lead or contribute to weekly research notes and ad-hoc reports for internal trading desks.
Responsibilities:
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in macro research, equity research, trading desk support, or a related role within a bank, hedge fund, or proprietary trading firm.
- Market Enthusiasm: Naturally keeps up with global markets, central bank policy, geopolitical events, and sector-specific news that drive volatility and price action.
- Analytical + Logical: Strong decision-making based on clear reasoning, analytical data, and financial research. Comfortable working with uncertainty and fast-moving information.
- Effective Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to articulate trade ideas clearly under time pressure and collaborate across desks.
- Problem Solver: Enjoys tackling complex problems, strategic games, or competitive activities that require creative and logical thinking.
Curiosity: Genuinely excited about why markets move and how to position ahead of or react to events.
