Job Purpose:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and responsible for all areas relating to accounting operation, financial reporting and tax management.
Developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Ensure work is properly allocated and completed in a timely manner.
Key support in financial report with adequate analysis, risk control and in supporting the extended China Sales & Marketing team in all finance related topics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepares accurate and timely monthly financial information; compiles monthly trend analysis; ensures account analysis &/or reconciliations completed on a monthly basis
• Ensure accurate reporting on monthly, quarterly & at year-end close in close coordination with
• Preparation of consistent and reliable financial data with comparison analysis for the monthly China review deck with APAC/HQ
• Monitors banking balance and transactions, prepares weekly cash flow activity and incorporate with FP&A team on biweekly cash flow forecasting
• Timely and accurate maintenance of the local books of accounts, including AP, AR, stock, expense reports, accruals, provisions, capital accounts, payroll records administration, taxation & intercompany.
• Key finance contributor to SOP/OFM , establish sound accounting practices and controls ensuring all business risks are highlighted and develop solutions to ensure mitigation of said risks.
• Special Projects and Ad Hoc Reports as required
Experience, Education and Designations:
Essential:
• University Education in Finance, specializing in Accounting/Auditing
• More than 8 Years’ experience of qualified finance work leading a medium sized team
• Working knowledge of CAS & IFRS, other financial reporting standard beneficial
Desirable:
• Finance Qualifications (CA, CPA or CIMA)
• SOX experience
• Local China Accounting Qualifications
