Startup with Silicon Valley, a market leader in a niche sector
• Serve as the North American technical expert across full product line, providing pre- and post-sale technical support to the sales team, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Be the first point of contact for customers and internal teams on technical matters — answering questions, resolving concerns, and building trust throughout the sales cycle.
• Represent Engineering in sales meetings with current and prospective customers: present technical capabilities, understand customer applications, and clearly explain trade-offs and options.
• Capture and interpret customer requirements, then translate them into control-system specifications and, with the support of engineers, into scoped solutions.
• Oversee North American technical projects from requirements gathering through release, ensuring they meet compliance, quality, and performance standards, and planning for cross-team dependencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of software and firmware with customers' other vehicle subsystems (e.g., hydraulics, powertrain, CAN/J1939 networks).
• Conduct functional tests and on-vehicle tests to confirm that performance meets specifications; troubleshoot and diagnose software, firmware, and integration problems in MEWP and other off-highway products.
• Provide customers with on-site technical support, training, and guidance, and develop customer teams' proficiency with all products.
• Prepare and support technical proposals and application documentation, working with the sales team to align solutions to customer requirements and business goals.
• Feed customer and field insight back into company roadmap — influencing new product lines with a focus on optimizing design for manufacturing, integration, and serviceability.
• Help guide the future of technical development by establishing best practices for solution definition, requirements capture, and technical hand-off between commercial and engineering teams.
