Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to join our team. The Tax Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's tax strategy, compliance, and reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as the ability to manage complex tax issues and provide strategic guidance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tax Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate tax planning opportunities to minimize the company's tax liabilities.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.

2. Tax Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, including income, sales, use, and property taxes.
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, including timely and accurate filing of all required tax documents.
- Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, including coordinating with external auditors and legal counsel as needed.

3.Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and related disclosures for financial reporting purposes, including quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax-related information in accordance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.

4. Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the tax team, including hiring, training, and developing staff.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.

5. Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to provide tax-related insights and recommendations.
- Communicate complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner to non-tax professionals.
- Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

6. Special Projects:
- Lead and manage special tax-related projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and international expansion.
- Provide tax due diligence and support for potential business transactions.

Qualifications:

- Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in [specific industry, if applicable] is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
-Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them to business situations.
- Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
- Leadership Skills:Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements
