Global Category Manager

Job Description

Leading the digital transformation of energy management and automation.

1. Lead the global sourcing strategy for motors (AC/DC, PMSM, EC) and related components (stators, rotors, laminations). Drive cost reduction, supply resilience, and sustainability across the supply base.
2. Develop and execute global commodity strategy for motor category.
3. Lead RFQ, negotiation, and supplier selection for NPI and existing programs.
4. Manage raw material volatility (copper, steel, magnets) through should-cost and index-based pricing.
5. Collaborate with engineering on Value Engineering (VE/QVE) and PPAP.
6. Drive supplier performance (QCD) and sustainability (Ecovadis, carbon).

Job Requirements

1. At least 8+ years strategic sourcing experience, 3+ years in motor / rotating equipment.
2. BS in Engineering (EE/ME) or Supply Chain; MBA preferred.
3. Strong understanding of motor cost drivers and manufacturing processes.
4. Global supplier management experience (Asia, Europe, Americas).
5. Fluent in English; Chinese or Spanish a plus.
