Essential responsibilities (Describe the top key job responsibilities and expected end results):

• Translating the requests of Design Project Engineer into design tasks and engineering proposals
• Responsible of the design drawing release, ready to lead the activities on your own or with the support of other designers.
• Responsible for the mechanical structure design and related assembly, component, and material specifications of the motor;
• Responsible for the design of motor mechanical and electrical related interfaces, and collaborating with the electric drive assembly to carry out system matching and integration;
• Responsible for the design of motor insulation system, selection and application of insulation materials;
• Complete technical documents (mathematical models, drawings, ordering specifications, etc.) for the motor and associated sub parts;
• Development of component DFMEA
• Responsible for the development and data release of performance matching, structural layout, and scheme design for the drive motor system.
• Responsible for determining test specifications for the development and validation testing of drive motor systems and sub components, and able to make judgments on the accuracy and authenticity of test reports submitted by suppliers.
• Coordinate with relevant internal interface departments (procurement, factory, etc.) of the company to complete sample production;
• Provide technical support and participate in the analysis and resolution of related issues during product trial production, testing, and production stages.
• Review and manage the motor system supplier to complete the design, optimization, and experimental verification of drive motor electromagnetic, structural, and motor controller hardware, software strategy, and other solutions according to the project timeline requirements, meeting the requirements of the main plan.
• Organize design reviews at different stages of the product, be responsible for inspecting and accepting samples during the development stage, participate in on-site support and inspection acceptance of vehicle manufacturing at different stages, and be responsible for resolving and closing issues
• Captures all lesson learned and update best practices/Guidelines.

Requirements (including education, competences & years of experience):

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and related fields, with at least 8 years of relevant experience;
• Familiar with motor structure and main component technology;
• Possess certain motor and controller matching ability;
• Familiar with the principles of motor NVH and have relevant experience in solving motor NVH problems;
• Experience in designing flat wire motors and oil cooled motors;
• Familiar with the thermal analysis principles of the motor body;
• Experience in the automotive component development industry is preferred.
• Language: Chinese ( native ), English ( fluent )

Preferable:

• Experience of working in key e-Motor suppliers as design engineer is preferred
