Chinese 'desire' for promotion and progression

I was recently asked to contribute a ‘Guest Comment’, similar to an opinion column in a newspaper, for efinancialCareers.

What had caught my attention was the high profile trading scandal at the Shanghai-based brokerage Everbright securities. It has an interesting angle when seen from a Recruitment and Staffing view-point. The issue seems to highlight a question for many Chinese businesses, regarding their culture of openness and honesty. How many organizations do you know that nurture a supportive environment that is consequence-free for whistle-blowers?
