Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyze the financial performance of stores, identifying significant variations and trends
- Reporting: Prepare monthly Profit & Loss per shop and periodic updates. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, providing clear and concise insights into store financial performance
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the store management team to plan financial budgets and forecasts. Monitor adherence to financial targets and propose corrective actions when necessary
- Inventory Control: Evaluate and optimize inventory levels in stores, ensuring they align with demand and there are no excesses or shortages
- Profit Margin Analysis: Analyse gross and net profit margins of stores (calculating COGS per store), identifying areas for improvement and suggesting strategies to enhance profitability
- Operational Expense Review: Monitor operational expenses of stores and work with the team to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies
- Financial Compliance: Ensure all stores comply with financial policies and internal procedures
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in financial control in the retail sector
- Knowledge of financial metrics and accounting
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis software tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Proficiency in English
