Going Green and Going Global
Did you notice our global social media site going green on Monday 17th March? It wasn’t a technical error or we decided to change our brand colours.
It was because Monday was St Patrick’s Day, a day which has acquired a global significance, thanks to the huge Irish communities around the world and some clever marketing, not least by Tourism Ireland.
Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening initiative which is now in its fifth year sees prominent buildings, landmarks and heritage sites around the world turning green to mark the occasion in a bid to grow international tourism into Ireland.
For example The Great Wall of China turned green.
While we don’t (yet) have an iconic landmark office, as a global company with a presence in ten countries worldwide, we were keen to do our bit. Many of our colleagues dressed in green and sent festive messages to their Irish colleagues and friends.
