What You’ll Do
Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment for retail positions (Sales Associates, Supervisors, Store Managers). Post jobs, source candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate hiring decisions with store leadership.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversee seamless onboarding for new hires and manage exit processes, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
HR Administration: Handle day-to-day HR queries from store staff, manage attendance records, leave requests, and maintain employee files.
Performance Management: Support the annual review process, track performance documentation, and assist managers with performance improvement plans.
Employee Relations: Be the first point of contact for employee concerns, facilitate communication between staff and management, and help resolve issues fairly and promptly.
Training Coordination: Organize and schedule training sessions on product knowledge, service standards, and company policies.
HR Compliance: Ensure all HR practices adhere to Chinese Labor Law and company policies. Update employee handbooks and HR documents as needed.
Store Support: Visit boutiques regularly to understand team dynamics, provide on-the-ground HR support, and build strong relationships with store managers.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 5+ years of HR experience within the retail industry – ideally as a Retail HRBP, HR Generalist, or Recruiter for a retail brand. Luxury retail experience is a plus, but not required.
Retail Understanding: You know how retail works – the pace, the people, the challenges of managing store teams. You’ve worked in or supported a multi-store environment before.
Recruitment Skills: Comfortable owning the full recruitment cycle for retail roles. You know where to find good retail talent and how to assess them.
Practical HR Knowledge: Solid understanding of Chinese Labor Law, employee relations, and HR operations. You can handle HR paperwork and answer employee questions confidently.
Language: Fluent Mandarin and English (for reporting and communicating with HQ).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Mobility: Must be willing to be based in Wuhan for at least 2 years. Interest in moving to Shanghai afterward is essential.
Personality: Down-to-earth, approachable, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks. You’re comfortable being both strategic and hands-on.
