Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance:
Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, reclasses, etc.).
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain chart of accounts and ensure proper cost allocation.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements under GAAP/IFRS.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
Prepare ad-hoc reports for management as needed.
Month-End & Year-End Closing:
Lead closing activities, ensuring timelines and accuracy.
Analyze P&L and balance sheet fluctuations.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with AP/AR, Cost Accounting, and Tax teams to ensure data accuracy.
Support inventory/cost accounting in a manufacturing setting (e.g., variance analysis).
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA/ACCA preferred.
3+ years of GL accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or multinational companies.
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.
Experience with tax filings (VAT, CIT, WHT) and statutory reporting is a plus.
Soft Skills:
High accuracy, analytical mindset, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Fluent in English (written/spoken) for cross-border collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cost accounting or inventory accounting (for manufacturing).
Familiarity with local accounting standards (e.g., China GAAP, US GAAP) if applicable.
