Global financial firm
We are looking for a Data Centre Technician to join a leading global financial firm in Shanghai, responsible for the full lifecycle of our local data centre and exchange colocation infrastructure.
You will lead the 0‑to‑1 build of the data centre, including rack layout, cabling, hardware installation, and environmental system setup (power, cooling, fire suppression).
Daily responsibilities include server/network device maintenance, fault diagnosis, hardware replacement, and proactive monitoring to ensure zero downtime for trading systems.
Strong Linux/Unix skills, basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and scripting experience (Bash/Python) are required, along with fluency in English and Mandarin.
Candidates with prior financial services or trading floor support experience, especially those who have built a data centre from the ground up, are strongly preferred.
