Responsibilities
• Establishing sales strategies, developing new freight forwarding business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships
• Formulate 6-12 month sales action plan in line with group direction
• Meet and achieve sales target KPI and budget
• Weekly/monthly commercial reporting to direct Manager on all sales and business development
• 90% hunting for new freight forwarding sales (not relating to warehousing)
• 10% exploring and developing further business opportunities with existing customers
• Participate in global and local tenders
• Communicate, share and collaborate with all overseas branches on leads generated to and from any locations
• Strong team player whilst liaising and coordinating with clients, vendors and internal operational team members
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
• To achieve and complete annual revenue/GP target
• Ensure customer database is updated sand all sales related reports/plans/Monday system are completed in a timely manner
Job Requirements
Essential
• Diploma or degree in business administration, logistics or a related field
• Willing to work in different time zones (flexible working hours)
• Own book of business for this trade a must
• Good English skills, Spanish /Portuguese a plus
• Minimum five years of experience on this trade lane or related trades
• BDM is a hunter position
• Have the ability to purchase and set prices
• Have the ability to specify route products
• Be able to communicate efficiently with people of different roles both internally and externally
• Have strong data analysis and market insight
• Strong team player
