Associate Director, Consumer Insights & Strategy

1.Consumer and Market Intelligence:
oOwn and prioritize the annual and multi-year consumer learning agenda around China's most important strategic and commercial decisions; define clear business questions, hypotheses, and success measures.
oBuild a 360-degree consumer view by integrating research, transaction and CRM data, digital behavior, social listening, category and competitive intelligence, cultural trends, and frontline observations; identify emerging needs, occasions, white spaces, and risks.
2.Brand and Growth Strategy:
oDiagnose the consumer funnel and behavior - including penetration, repeat, frequency, loyalty, value perception, and competitive switching - and connect the drivers to traffic, sales, and profitability.
oLead segmentation, jobs-to-be-done, demand-space, customer-journey, and opportunity-sizing work; partner with cross-functional teams to shape positioning, value proposition, portfolio, innovation, pricing, channels, and customer experience.
3.Commercial Decision Support and Research Excellence:
oAct as a consultative insight partner: challenge briefs, select fit-for-purpose approaches, synthesize evidence, and translate learning into clear recommendations and testable actions.
oDesign agile learning plans and lead qualitative, quantitative, behavioral, and experimental research across concepts, products, communication, pricing, customer experience, pilots, and launches; manage agencies, budgets, quality, and impact measurement, using AI-enabled tools where they improve speed without compromising rigor.
4.Insight Leadership and Capability Building:
oTurn complex evidence into concise, executive-ready narratives that clarify the consumer truth, business implication, recommended action, and expected impact.
oBring an outside-in perspective into leadership decisions and influence without formal authority; develop the insight team and agency ecosystem, and build research standards, reusable frameworks, and knowledge-sharing tools.

职位要求

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Psychology, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field;
10+ years of experience across consumer insights, marketing or brand strategy and customer analytics, with demonstrated growth in scope and influence. Experience in a leading strategy consulting firm or equivalent rigorous in-house strategy environment is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of consumer insight or customer strategy work, from question framing and research design to activation and impact measurement; consulting candidates must have hands-on research experience.
Strong command of qualitative and quantitative methods and the ability to connect consumer evidence to brand growth and P&L decisions; relevant consumer-sector experience is preferred.
Excellent structured problem solving, strategic storytelling, stakeholder influence, and project and agency management skills. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required; China consumer familiarity is preferred.
