Legal & Compliance Counsel

Job Description

My client is looking for a legal & compliance counsel to join their China Legal team.

ROLE AND AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES

- Implement/enhance internal control on contract management

- Collaborate with local teams on Compliance Projects, such as Data Protection, CSR, Anti-corruptions, internal auditing, etc.

- Partner with internal business stakeholders to understand the strategic objectives of the business and provide proactive, risk-based legal advice and practical solutions.

- Develop and update contract templates, training materials, compliance guidelines, and maintain internal compliance policies.

- Handle other ad hoc projects as assigned.

- Participate in CSR related activities and events.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Education/Degree:

- Bachelor's degree of Law or above

• Background :

6 at least 7 years or more working experience in retail industry (beauty industry preferred); Familiar with MNC internal control policy, statuary compliance requirement, local company related legal matters.

Technical skills:

- Pass China Bar Examination

• Languages:

- Good oral and written English

• Soft and Leadership Skills:

- Stable, good communication skill and willing to develop with company in long term
