Tax Director

Ensure compliance with all tax regulations in all jurisdictions; including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT) and surcharges, Stamp Duty and other applicable taxes; establish standard policies and procedures to be followed by the field offices and review them regularly for compliance, maintain appropriate levels of internal control.
 Establish new tax policies and procedures for Yum China under newly issued VAT law.
 Develop and lead internal tax compliance review program.
 Manage tax assessments, audits and investigations
Support field finance/tax teams to respond to local challenges, communicate with tax authorities for key issues
 Lead or participate in tax compliance and other tax. business, digital projects, including project management and working closely/coordinating with various functional departments at headquarter and field offices as well as coordination with internal functional departments and external vendors to drive the project development.
 Monitor proposed and enacted tax legislations, identify/research potential tax risks and develop/implement action plans to minimize the risk, including lobbying with national/provincial tax bureaus to approve new/clarify existing regulations and managing external vendors involved in the projects, if applicable
 Provide tax support on Corporate M&A and divestment activities
 Develop and maintain good working relationship with tax officials at STA and key provincial/municipal tax bureaus
 Manage communication, training and development for filed tax teams

(A) Education Background
Bachelor degree or above, major in Finance or Accounting, MBA is an advantage
(B) Working Experience
• At least 10-12 years’ experience in accounting firm and company fulfilling similar tasks
• Working experience in multinational environment
• Supervisory experience
• Experience in communication with the STA and local tax authorities
(C) Skills
• Advanced knowledge of PRC tax and general business environment
• Knowledge in US tax, HK tax, Singapore tax, Luxembourg tax, BEPS, Pillar One/Pillar Two, tax/invoice digitalization
• Expertise in laws / regulations relevant to tax
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent and tactful external and internal communication skills
• Good command in written and oral English
• Logical and analytical thinking and ability to present the analysis in a clear and concise manner
