Portfolio Procurement (Auto Parts)

1. Diagnostic & Rapid Intervention (The "Fix-It" Phase)
Conduct deep-dive audits of existing procurement processes at portfolio companies, identifying critical gaps in supplier contracts, pricing discrepancies, and compliance risks.
Address immediate supply chain crises (e.g., single-source dependencies, material shortages, price volatility) to ensure production stability.
Identify and execute "quick win" cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery, typical in the automotive industry.

2. Strategic Transformation (The "Build" Phase)
Redesign procurement processes and policies to align with world-class standards, including RFQ processes, contract management, and supplier performance metrics (QCDDM: Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development, Management).
Lead strategic negotiations with key raw material suppliers (steel, aluminum, plastics, electronics) and complex automotive components.
Consolidate the supplier base to optimize leverage and drive economies of scale across the investment portfolio.

3. Talent & Team Development (The "Mentor" Phase)
Assess the capability of existing procurement staff within portfolio companies. Coach, mentor, and upskill local teams.
Assist in recruiting key procurement talent (e.g., Sourcing Managers, Commodity Buyers) for the portfolio company when gaps are identified.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and commercial awareness within the procurement function.

4. Cross-Portfolio Synergy (The "Investor" Phase)
Identify opportunities for joint procurement across multiple portfolio companies to unlock group-wide savings.
Report directly to the investment team on procurement health metrics, risk mitigation status, and value creation progress.

Job Requirements

Core Experience:
Industry Background: 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, specifically within the Automotive Parts manufacturing industry.
Deep Commodity Knowledge: Expertise in sourcing categories such as metal stampings, die-casting, injection molding, electronic components (PCBA, sensors), and raw materials.
Operational Rigor: Proven track record of delivering 10-20%+ cost savings and supply chain resilience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

The "High EQ & Management" Factor:
Change Management: Experience in turnarounds or integration roles (M&A post-merger integration is a strong plus). You must be comfortable working with resistant stakeholders and legacy teams.
Influence without Authority: Ability to lead and persuade management teams at portfolio companies who do not directly report to you.
Communication: Native-level proficiency in Mandarin and professional working proficiency in English (to communicate with global investment teams and suppliers). You can translate complex financial goals into operational procurement language.
Problem Solving: You don’t just point out problems; you roll up your sleeves to help fix them.
