Investment Senior Manager

1. Based on Company’s long-term strategic planning and overall investment strategy, provide support on both investments and other strategic projects
2. Facilitate or take lead on executing investment projects (e.g. M&A, buyout, minority investments, joint ventures, etc.) and other strategic projects where needed, with execution work ranging from macro study, market research, target analysis, due diligence, financial modeling & analysis, deal structuring and legal documentation to IC / Board materials preparation, etc.
3. Build and maintain rapport both internally and externally to progress potential investment projects or other inorganic initiatives, with responsibilities including evaluating / sourcing potential investments, forming investment thesis, assisting post investment activities, etc.
4. Collect intelligence & keep team updated on market dynamics, competitive landscape, forefront or emerging trends in consumer & retail sector
5. Coach junior member(s) when needed, fully involved and participate in other corporate finance related assignments / projects
6. Day-to-day role similar to those of VPs in investment banks or PE shops, or engagement / project managers in top tier strategy houses

Job Requirements

1. Excellent academic track record from top-ranked universities (China or overseas); university degree or higher (top US or UK university experience preferred)
2. Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin
3. Technical skills:
- Strong ability to perform financial statement, business, valuation and investment analysis, very solid modeling skills
- Proven & advanced skills in MS Office Suite (including PPT and Excel) and proficient general research capabilities
- Solid experience in execution of investment / corporate finance related projects (ideally impressive deal list consisting of both buyside and sellside transactions)
4. Soft skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-soling skills
- Open-minded, innovative, growth and strategic mindset
- Multi-tasking skills; integrity, maturity, self-reliance, self-motivation and intellectual curiosity
5. Genuine passions about working in a corporate setting with strong interest in corporate finance, investment, strategy and consumer & retail sector (no hard requirement on previous sector experience though)
6. An ideal candidate shall have professional background, he/she could be: a well-trained VP (or at least a final year associate) from global leading investment banks (can also consider top performers from CICC / CITIC Securities) or an engagement manager from top-tier strategy houses with 6+ years’ experience; experience from reputable PE firms or large corporates is a plus
1. For consulting candidates, very solid finance background is a must (candidates from corporate finance practice are preferred, prior experience in commercial DD & financial modeling or CFA holder is a plus)
