Job Responsibilities:
The APAC Technical Support Manager will be the technical linchpin for our business in the region, leading support strategies and ensuring superior customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
.Technical Leadership & Support: Provide expert-level pre-sales and post-sales technical support for our portfolio of biocides and preservatives. This includes product selection, troubleshooting, and addressing complex customer inquiries related to product formulations and applications
.Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the APAC technical support team. Foster a culture of excellence, proactive service, and continuous learning to enhance the team's capabilities and effectiveness
.Strategic Customer Engagement: Serve as a key technical advisor for major strategic accounts, including leading paint and coatings manufacturers. Build strong, trust-based relationships at technical and executive levels
.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the critical link between the commercial team (Sales) and the Research & Development (R&D) department. Translate customer needs and field challenges into actionable product feedback and innovation opportunities
.Knowledge Management & Training: Develop and deliver high-quality technical training and application notes for both internal teams (sales, junior technicians) and key customers to drive product adoption and expertise
.Regional Project Management: Manage technical aspects of product launches and strategic initiatives within the APAC region, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local market needs.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
.Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on technical experience, with a significant portion in the specialty chemicals, biocides, or formulated products industry (e.g., paints/coatings, personal care, material protection). Prior experience supporting key accounts in the paints and coatings industry is highly advantageous
.Technical Expertise: Must have a strong understanding of product formulations and the role of functional additives like biocides and preservatives. A background with a biotech-oriented product portfolio is a significant plus.
.Personal Attributes: We seek a highly flexible, agile, and resourceful professional. The ideal candidate must be a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment ("juǎn"/competitive).
.Geographical Scope: Demonstrated experience supporting the APAC region is essential. The role requires close collaboration with teams in Thailand and the UK, so experience working in international and complex matrix structures is critical.
