Associate Director - L&D

Responsibilities:

Learning & Development Strategy

  • Design and implement the core L&D framework for the Company. This includes a strategy by product line/Department and ensuring this is supported by the relevant Business Heads and Senior Management
  • Establish and implement a global, cross product calendar of learning and development initiatives
  • Prepare annual training budget

Performance Appraisal

  • Prepare training materials and conduct training on performance appraisal
  • Prepare analyses reports from the Performance Appraisal to evaluate and assess the training and development needs of the staff

Learning & Development Metrics

  • Design and/or source an appropriate training database / system
  • Track and record details of all training and development delivered tostaff
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and workplace application of L&D delivered
  • Evaluate cost vs return on investment
  • Management reporting on L&D metrics and effectiveness

Change management

  • Work with senior management to lead and facilitate global change management initiatives

Projects

  • Lead L&D related projects as and when required
  • Other ad hoc projects - for example competency development, succession planning etc

Requirements:

  • Master degree in all disciplines, ideally in Human Resources, Psychology or communication.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant Learning and Development experience from sizable financial industry preferred
  • Mature and proactive approach to work and relationships
  • Professionally confident with the ability to communicate with and influence junior through to senior individuals, internal and external
  • Able to work with a high level of independence and manage own schedules
  • Team oriented, proactive and willing to roll sleeves up to get the job done
  • Works well under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Possess relevant qualifications in managing leadership, management training and culture change initiatives, interpreting and debriefing psychometric assessments are preferred
  • Confident and experienced in the delivery/facilitation of training
  • Preferably previous experience in the banking/finance sector
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
