Job Summary:

  • This position is responsible for maximizing return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
  • This function will achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.

 

Key Duties Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

- Procurement control

  • New vendor verification and approval - vetting, due diligence, fact checks, background checks
  • Contract checking, controlling of invoices, price comparison, etc.

 

- Financial control

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for all accounting aspects, including but not limited to accounting estimates and inventory valuation
  • Administer Travel & Expense control measures
  • Oversee cash flow planning and asset management
  • Responsible for accurate accounting control
  • Control all facets of lease management and rental agreements
  • Oversee tax compliance, filing and appeals process, including reviewing and reconciling corporate tax provisions and supporting tax audit compliance process.
  • Manage commercial banking relationships, ensure accurate and timely reporting and facilitate appraisals and field audits
  • Ensures proper filing of all tax returns and other government-mandated reporting
  • Interface with outside audit firm(s), banks and lessors, and credit card companies
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for annual audit
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Directs and coordinates company financial planning and control functions
  • Prepare schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
  • Serves as primary legislative liaison relative to company financial issues
  • Complies with state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation;
  • Enforces adherence to requirements; advises management on needed actions

- Job Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor Degree required, Master's Degree or CPA a plus
  • 5-10 years' experience
  • Luxury industry experience a plus
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
  • Develop short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
